The Island Wine Company opened in 1987 next to the ferry landing in Friday Harbor, Washington. In 1993 David Baughn (an attorney) and Kathryn Lawson Kerr (a clinical psychologist) moved to the island from Mississippi and bought the business. They changed careers and have been selling wine and enjoying island life ever since.

Island Wine Company is the home of San Juan Cellars Wines. The grapes come from Eastern Washington and the wine is made by Rob Griffin, one of the most experienced and respected wine makers in the Northwest. Rob is a U.C. graduate and has been making wines in the Pacific Northwest for over two decades. We sell the San Juan Cellars Wines only at our store in Friday Harbor, WA.

We also sell harder-to-find premium Pacific Northwest wines, an extensive selection of wine related gift items, and beer.
